Overall, the sharper lines give the X6 an aggressive-looking front. The bumper design now ditches the angular styling for a more polygonal shape, and the air intakes and central air dam feature bolder & rectangular lines. The grille is flanked by BMW's latest Adaptive LED light units, which can be ordered with the optional Laserlight tech. While the signature XL-sized kidney grille dominates the front fascia, it is available as an optional illuminated version with the new X6. While the side profile remains more or less similar as before, the most striking changes have been made to the car's front & rear profile. It is 26mm longer, 15mm wider and 6mm lower than the outgoing generation, while also featuring an increased wheelbase by 42mm. Underpinned by the same CLAR architecture as the new X5, the third-gen X6 has grown in proportions. Following BMW's all updated models, the new X6 also carries a more sculpted look, new engines with higher power outputs and tons of tech. That's because the new car is based on the Munich-based carmakers latest design philosophy. Straight off the bat, the new X6 now bears a marked similarity to its younger sibling, the X4. ![]() While we still have the second-gen X6 on sale in India (only in the xDrive35i M Sport version), BMW has now gone on to introduce the third-generation of its revered Sports Activity Vehicle (as BMW likes to call it). Plus, now BMW also sells the mini-X6 in India in the form of the new X4. And we now have other big names like Mercedes taking a plunge into the Coupe SUV trend with models like the GLE 43 AMG.
